Seven days, 5 teams, different locations and a travel budget per team of Php35,000. Would you accept the challenge? Cebu Pacific, one of the leading airlines in the Philippines just announced the winning team for their latest Juan For Fun Backpacker’s Challenge 2016.
Now on its 5th year, Juan For Fun Backpacker’s Challenge 2016 showcased what travelling is all about- Endless escapades, boundless discoveries and a whole lot of fun.
Each team came from different universities all over the Philippines, travelled to different locations, and has conquered some adventures and challenges. At the same time, appreciated the beauty of the Philippines with just a limited budget.
Well, I’ve always wanted to do travel in a budget. I wanna know if I can survive and prove that I can still enjoy my trip even in a limited budget. No withdrawal for extra money, no swiping of credit cards.
Well going back, here are the courageous teams who accepted the challenge for this year’s Cebu Pacific Juan For Fun Backpacker’s Challenge 2016.
Took the 4th place spot was #JFFTeamWork. Team Members: Serge Calumpong, April Nacion and Jaysson Presores and coached by travel writer, Jude Bacalso. The whole team conquered Laoag, Bacolod, Cebu and Laoag and made memories in each stop.
Landed on 3rd place was #JFFTeamPablo. Coached by Saab Magalona, students from St. Paul University Philippines Brendan Tangan, Linus Pagulayan and Cherson Bariuan welcomed the prestine waters of Camiguin, and wowed by the natural beauty of Iloilo and Cebu.
#JFFTeamTAG of University of the Philippines Manila took the 2nd place after conquering four of the country’s top tourist destinations which are Boracay, Cebu, Iloilo, and Puerto Princessa, Palawan. Helping them to make the most out of their time, was their adventure coach, musician Champ Lui Pio.
#JFFTeamPura had fun covering their itenerary in Bohol, Cebu, Dumaguete, Siargao, Iloilo and Davao. Matching their youthful energy was their adventur coach, Bogart the Explorer. The team landed on the 1st place spot.
And this year’s Champs, Bacolod’s pride #JFFTeamJuanTeam. Their adventure coach, TV Host and VJ Robi Domingo. The team kicked things off in Iloilo, before making their way to Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Surigao, and Butuan. For their last stop, they appreciated the beauty of Mt. Mayon in Legazpi, Albay. Students from La Salle Bacolod Glenn Layola, Audrey Ramos and John Ray Blance were hailed as winners of Cebu Pacific Juan For Fun Challenge 2016.
Each of them received the most epic prize- a TRAVEL-ALL-YOU-CAN pass where each member is entitled to unlimited flights to domestic and international short-haul destinations for one year. #JFFTeamJuanTeam also received gift certificates from this year’s sponsors Tripologie travel store, Merrell shoes and Boreas Travel bag.
