In celebration of Philippine School of Interior Design’s 50th anniversary, 72 students of PSID Advanced Class of 2017, students from the PSID-AHLEN Institute, including PSID alumni and faculty have joined forces for the first time to showcase this year’s graduation exhibit entitled, “GOLD: Glamorous, Opulent, and Luxurious Designs”.
Gold is carefully planned, extensively researched exhibit that celebrates PSID’s five decades of design education. PSID has been known to produce groundbreaking exhibits that become the benchmark of interior design shows in the academe, and are considered a go-to-event for architects, interior designers, design enthusiast, and even general public for world-class Filipino design inspirations and innovative interior works.
Starting October 1-31, at Uptown Bonifacio Mall(across H&M) in Bonifacio Global City, PSID Gold’s graduation exhibit will open its doors to spectators and guests showcasing 24-exquisitely-designed spaces that highlight the trends for the past 10 years in terms of luxury aesthetic, opulence, and glamour.
The PSID Golden Anniversary Graduation Exhibit is divided into 3 galleries. First is the Graduating students’ concept design gallery which elicits an ambiance that caters sophistication and sense of style based on this year’s theme. Second, the Alumni Gallery which aims to relive the challenges and experiences of creating a booth for the graduation exhibit and apply what they have learned from school and in practice. And lastly is the Faculty Gallery, where selected professors will showcase their works as a testament to PSID’s elite design training.
All displays were great in their own style, but I want to highlight 5 of the design spaces that caught my attention during the press launch of #PSIDGOLD50 graduation exhibit. So here’s my Top 5 picks:
BOOTH 15: MARY ANN BULANADI (Den/Study Room)
BOOTH 09: INDUSTRIAL LUXE (Kitchen)
BOOTH 18: LALYN NIVERA (Bedroom)
BOOTH 23: GELO DEL MUNDO (Den/Study)
BOOTH 06: CONTEMPORARY EGYPTIAN (Toilet&Bathroom)
I love viewing this kind of exhibit because it gives me a lot of ideas, insights, and inspiration which I can use for my future home or maybe my future office. And what’s good about it is that all materials used in the exhibit is also available in the Philippine market. Cool right?
Want to see the rest of the displays? You may go to my blog’s Facebook Page www.Facebook.com/Girlandboything for more photos/previews and let me know which are your top picks as well. 😉 But it would be more fun if you will drop by at the PSID Golden Anniversary Graduation Exhibit which will be open to public for the whole month of October. ADMISSION IS FREE!
PSID Golden Anniversary Graduation Exhibit is co-presented by Megaworld, and mounted in cooperation with Boysen, Schema, Shell Canvas, La Europa, Designery, Daikin and Tecson Flowers.
