Sing Your Way To London by Costa Coffee

Who would have thought that just by singing, you can get to visit and explore London for FREE! So cool right?

Just recently, Costa Coffee held a promo entitled “Sing Your Way To London”, a singing competition inspired from a certain vlogger named Vince Vandorpe. This was after he impressed Costa Coffee barista while singing a British classic at the counter, winning a free cup of coffee in the process.

Β ” Filipinos are known world over for their gift in music. And Costa’s Londonstyle is all about celebrating talents and cratt. Hence it was a perfect opportunity to do this and we were thrilled with the response!” says Cindy Poh, Costa Coffee Regional Marketing Manager Southeast Asia and New Markets.

Going back, Costa Coffee held a search and called for aspirants to send in a video of them singing a British song.

Out of all the entries being sent, five finalists were handpicked namely, Pia Alfonso, Maqui Castelo, Inna Valera, Maki Santos, and Jyl Orila and went through a singing battle last October 16 for the ultimate prize of… not a free cup of coffee but a TRIP TO LONDON FOR 2!

Check out their performances on the video above.

Meet the judges: social media influencer David Guison, singer-siblings Kiana and Paolo Valenciano.

The criteria for judging included voice and presentation skills, audience response, and adherence to the British theme.

And the winner…. Jyl Orila, who received an all-expenses paid trip to London, as well as other cool prizes.
For many Filipinos, visiting London would be a memory of a lifetime, with so many world-class sights to see: there’s Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Abbey Road, Notting Hill, and other landmarks that would fill up an entire list!
