I was very excited when my sister told me that me and my family are going to Bohol. Well, It was really my dream to go there and see each historic and natural tourist spots personally such as Chocolate Hills, Man Made Forest, Tarsier, the churches and do some activities there like Loboc river cruising, visit some museums and other attractions.
Ofcourse, for us to go there we need to find a very affordable mode of transportation. We are a family of 4, and travelling with that number won’t be so cheap. We don’t want to ride a ship because it will took us a long time to travel going to Bohol, so we chose the faster way… via airplane, which is about an hour and 15 minutes travel time.
Choosing an airline is not that easy because there are a lot of promos going on. Well, in our case, we chose AirAsia Zest, since it is the airline that I chose when I went to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 2 years ago, and that was my sister’s choice of airline for her connecting flight from Australia-Kuala-Lumpur-Philippines. And so we booked.
Note: Last September 13, 2014, AirAsia Philippines was moved to Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 4 in Manila after closing down its domestic and international flights in Pampanga.
Since our plane was parked far from our assigned gate, Air Asia Zest provided a shuttle service which will take us to our designated plane.(Sorry for the blurred picture, I was in a hurry taking this and I don’t want to cause human traffic).
Took a quick photo of our plane before going up.
Selfie time… hihihi 🙂
In every AirAsia Zest flight, flight attendants demonstrates safety and emergency procedures.
Few minutes after the plane took off and settled, Air Asia Zest flight attendants started to distribute meals to those passengers who ordered their meals online and ask other passengers if they want to avail meals.
Since our flight was scheduled early, we don’t have time to prepare our breakfast and we can’t afford to be late, so we pre-booked our in-flight meals to fill our hungry tummy. This is what I had… Pak Nasser’s Nasi lemak. I wasn’t able to take photos of the meals that my family had because they immediately opened and eat theirs because they are really hungry hahaha.
Thank God my sister knows me well… that I love Nasi Lemak, so that’s what she ordered when they pre-booked our meals.
What I like about AirAsia Zest in-flight meals is that they have the list of ingredients place on the label including the caloric content of each meal. So if you are allergic to something or you are watching the calories you are taking in, you can easily determine everything.
Another thing, compared to the other airlines, AirAsia Zest offers very affordable in-flight meals for just LESS THAN Php200/meal.
Pak Nasser’s Nasi lemak is a traditional Malaysian favourite fragrant coconut rice served with Pak Nasser’s special chilli sambal and tender chicken rendang, accompanied with traditional condiments of fried anchovies, crunchy groundnuts and half of a hard-boiled egg.
I really enjoyed my meal. I love how spicy it is and how each ingredients compliment each other to form one good meal. I LOVE IT!!!
There are also other in-flight meals that you can choose from such as Roast Chicken with Smoky BBQ Sauce, Smoked Chicken Pizza Sandwich, Vegetable Pasta, Asian Fried Rice with Chicken Satay, Teriyaki Chicken Rice Cake + T&CO Green Tea and many more.
