I remember the lyrics of a certain Christmas song “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”. Well it is indeed at Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila as it held its first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
“We wish the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila to become another annual tradition. Apart from that, we aim at making this activity more meaningful by bringing the community together and encourage them to help our people in Eastern Visayas through a donation drive.”said Waterfront Hotels and Casinos Corporate Sales and Marketing Director Theresa Fernandez.
Adding to the great Christmas ambience came the great voices coming from the Ramon Magsaysay Chorale, filling the place with great Christmas hymns. These awesome choir has been welcoming the Christmas season with Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila for 10 years already.
And since Christmas is also said to be the “Season of giving” A ‘wishing well’ is placed in the lobby so that employees and guests can drop their donations for our fellow Filipinos greatly affected by the recent calamities that struck our country particularly in the Visayas Region. This ‘wishing well’ will be stationed at the Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila lobby area until January 5, 2014.
Donations collected from the wishing well will be turned over to the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of TV5 , who has made partner by Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila in order to reach out and give aid to the affected of the recent calamities in our country.
Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila initiated a donation campaign and encouraged its employees to lend a helping hand by giving out aids that will be sent to The affected areas through the Sagip Kapamilya of the ABS-CBN Foundation. The hotel also donated over P250,000 worth of aids for the quake victims in Central Visayas. The hotel’s Housekeeping Department of WPHCM took the lead in repacking the blankets, linens, comforters, clothes and footwear to be donated to the Bohol and Cebu earthquake victims.
“It is heartbreaking to see and hear all over the news the tragic situation of the people in Bohol and Cebu who are in dire need of help because of the recent catastrophe. We are sending our deepest sympathy to the families of those who were killed, injured and cannot be found,” urged Christopher Park, Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila General Manager.
As part of the Hotel’s corporate social responsibility efforts, Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila strives to create a positive impact on the environment, guest experience, employees and the community through this kind of endeavors.
