As I welcome the year 2025, I get to experience first hand this newest smartphone from HONOR, their toughest one to date… the HONOR X9c 5G. Just perfect timing because my current phone is beginning to show signs of breakdown and I definitely need a new phone that is tough enough to withstand my everyday mobile tasks. And of course, can endure multiple drops since I have a toddler with me most of the time.(I know most, if not all moms would agree🤣)
So here are my favorite features.
1. DESIGN AND BODY
I’m a kikay mom, so I really want a good-looking smartphone which HONOR X9c 5G delivers. Did you know that its design was inspired by the luxurious Rolex watches?. Oh yes!. The titanium finish really suits my taste, offering a simple-minimalist design that can that resists fingerprint marks. While some occasional smudges may appear, it still remains visually appealing. You may use the FREE transparent casing that comes with the package to keep it looking neat.
HONOR X9c 5G is available in 3 colorways, Jade Cyan which is the hero color of HONOR X9c 5G, Titanium Black, and Titanium Purple-the one I got, which gives a very youthful vibe.
This phone is sleek too(162.8 x 75.5 x 7.98mm dimentions) and has ultra-light design(189g). The thin bezels and curved edges contribute to a more comfortable and secure grip even if it is held on just one hand. One hand on the phone and the other hand holding the baby. Why not?!
2. DISPLAY
Mom life is messy. I’ve dropped my phone in flour, used it with sticky fingers, and even handed it to a toddler with wet hands (mistake… usually). That’s why the HONOR X9c 5G caught my eye.
Its 6.78-inch Curved OLED Display isn’t just beautiful—it’s built tough with Super Double Tempered Glass. The screen quality is amazing (we’re talking 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate) and makes screen time—whether it’s Bebefinn or a rare moment of YouTube makeup tutorials—feel like a treat.
Even better, the screen works even when my hands are wet or oily. Cooking dinner and checking recipes? No problem. Sweaty gym hands after a stroller walk? Still works. Oh, and did I mention the screen is still visible in bright sunlight? Yep—4000 nits peak brightness has me covered when outdoors.
3. DURABILITY
Beyond its design and display, the standout feature of the HONOR X9c 5G is its improved durability. It offers Ultra-Tough Triple Defense to protect your phone from accidents and harsh weather conditions.

Splash-resistant: 1P65M 360 washable body. Water resistant up to 25cm deep up to 5 mins. It is dust-resistant too!

One of the best features this phone has is it’s durability. Who wouldn’t want a durable phone right? We all want a phone that would last as long as possible of course. I have tried testing the HONOR X9c 5G’s durability and was really impressed how it can endure being submerged in boiling water(yes it can withstand 100 degrees Celsius) and it still working after being dropped on the floor which my daughter did SEVERAL times. She even threw it a few times and I’m not worried.

From planning meals, browsing recipes, or even sneaking in a bit of mobile gaming during nap time, the HONOR X9c handles it effortlessly. Its powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and generous 24GB of RAM(12GB + 12GB HONOR Turbo RAM) make multitasking a breeze. I especially love the massive 512GB storage — because between photos of my husband, daughter, and life’s little surprises, there’s always something worth saving.
Equipped with Qualcomm Adreno 710 GPU it ensures that HONOR X9c 5G can effortlessly manage mobile gaming. Played Mobile Legends and so far, so good. I haven’t experienced any lags yet making me enjoy some mom-me time while playing.

With the HONOR X9c 5G, I don’t need to lug around a separate camera to catch my little one’s milestones. Its 108MP main camera delivers beautiful, vivid shots — and the 3x zoom lets me sneak in those cute close-ups without interrupting the moment. I love that it has OIS, too — because let’s face it, moms don’t always have steady hands! Low-light shots can be hit or miss, but Night Mode really helps save those quiet bedtime scenes. The ultra-wide lens is great when we’re out in the sun, but I usually skip it in dim lighting.
I’m not always photo-ready (what mom is?), but the HONOR X9c selfie camera really helps. It keeps the details crisp and the skin tones realistic — not too filtered. The beauty mode can go a little overboard, but thankfully, I can easily tweak it to my liking. In dim lighting, like during movie nights with the hubby, the screen flash actually helps a lot.
As a mom, I treasure every photo — but let’s be honest, not every background is part of the memory. With the HONOR X9c’s AI Eraser feature, I can easily remove distractions. No more photo-bombers, they’re gone in a click!
Video-wise, I love that the rear camera shoots in 4K — it’s perfect for capturing those blink-and-you-miss-it milestones. The front camera records in 1080p, which works well for quick messages or fun updates, though you might notice a little shake if you’re moving around too much.
6. FAST CHARGING AND SUPERB BATTERY LIFE
Honestly, I barely have time to sit down, let alone charge my phone multiple times. That’s why I’ve been loving the HONOR X9c 5G. Its huge 6,600mAh battery keeps me going through a full day of juggling online work, household chores, taking care of my husband and daughter and everything in between. I even tested it with my normal mobile usage(watching movies alone or my daughter), playing games, taking snaps and videos at times and it lasted over 13 hours. On standby with moderate usage, it lasted about 2 days.
Charging wise, I appreciate how the HONOR X9c 5G charges up so quickly. Thanks to its 66W fast charging, I can go from 0% battery to fully charged in just over an hour. For a phone with such a powerful battery, that’s seriously impressive. And the best part? I can plug it in while prepping dinner and it’s nearly fully charged by the time we eat.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The HONOR X9c 5G proves that you don’t need a flashy, ultra-fast phone to have a great experience. What you do need is durability (hello, mom life!), a display that looks great while watching your favorite shows during naptime, and a battery that won’t quit before you do. It’s stylish without being fragile, and smart without the price tag of a flagship. Definitely worth a spot on any mom’s wishlist!
