The competition is themed “Era of Awakening: The Clash of Two Destinies” and invites participants to submit original hero skin concepts inspired by the evolving universe of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The contest emphasizes creativity, cultural diversity, and innovation within the global gaming and digital art community.
Entries are now open and will be accepted until June 21, 2026. Full mechanics, submission guidelines, and requirements are available through MOONTON Games’ official contest page.
USD 49,000 Prize Pool and Career Opportunities for Artists
The MLBB Global Skin Design Contest 2026 features a total prize pool of USD 49,000, rewarding artists whose work demonstrates originality, creativity, and strong alignment with MLBB’s visual direction.
Beyond cash prizes, selected creators whose designs meet professional standards may also be offered remote employment opportunities with MOONTON Games’ global creative team. This provides a pathway for artists to contribute directly to future hero skin development in MLBB.
“We hope that through hosting competitions, offering prize incentives, and establishing an employment channel, we can help creators reach international platforms like MLBB and showcase their original concepts to the world”, said Ma Hui, Senior Concept Designer of MLBB and judge of the competition.
Global Panel of Judges from Game Art and Design Industry

The contest will be judged by leading professionals in game art, illustration, and concept design, including Ma Hui, Senior Concept Designer of MLBB, Wenjun Lin, Chief Artist of MLBB and acclaimed CG artist, Adrian Smith, internationally recognized for his work on franchises such as Warhammer 40,000 and Magic: The Gathering, and Ben Zhang, Principal Concept Artist for Overwatch and contributor to Hearthstone and Diablo.
Their involvement highlights the contest’s vision of becoming a global creative platform where professional artists, emerging designers, and the MLBB development team can collaborate, exchange ideas, and explore new directions in hero skin design.
Strengthening MLBB’s Creative Ecosystem
The Global Skin Design Contest 2026 is part of MOONTON Games’ continued commitment to creativity as a core pillar of the MLBB ecosystem. Beyond gameplay, the company invests in hero design, world-building, music production, esports presentation, storytelling, and community-driven content that shape the overall player experience.
This creative focus was recently recognized at the 2026 NYX Game Awards, where MOONTON Games’ audio division, Moontunes Studios, earned two Grand Winner titles for Mobile Game – Best Music and Mobile Game – Best Audio Design for MLBB.
The recognition underscores MOONTON Games’ expanding creative excellence beyond gameplay innovation into world-class production across multiple disciplines.
Building a Global Platform for Artists
By opening MLBB to global creators, MOONTON Games aims to strengthen cross-cultural collaboration and elevate the role of artists in shaping the future of mobile gaming content.
“We look forward to seeing the collision and integration of different cultural backgrounds and art styles, and also hope that more outstanding creators can use the MLBB stage to showcase their works to global players”, said Wenjun Lin, MLBB Chief Artist and contest judge.
