There’s something about Christmas displays in the mall that instantly brings out the kid in me. And as a mom, I love simple family day outs that give us a reason to slow down and enjoy the holidays together. Sometimes, we do not need an elaborate trip to make a day special. A beautiful Christmas display, festive music, and time spent together can already make a wonderful experience.
This day, our mall day trip became more than just a quick stop for shopping. My family got to witness SM City Marikina welcome the most wonderful time of the year as its Christmas centerpiece lit up the 3rd Level. Seeing the lights come alive filled the mall with that warm, fuzzy feeling that makes you go, “Aww, Christmas is finally here!” 🎄✨
Stepping Into the Holiday Twinklewoods
The moment we saw the Christmas setup at SM City Marikina, the holiday mood was instantly there.
The Holiday Twinklewoods brought a whimsical woodland feel to the mall, with all those festive details that make you want to stop and admire the decorations instead of simply walking past them. And you know how it goes when you’re a mom with a little one: “Wait lang, picture muna!” 😂
What I liked about the display was that it wasn’t just something pretty to look at. It was designed to be experienced, especially by families and kids who can enjoy the characters, music, and holiday activities along the way.
This is what makes this Christmas display different for me. It’s not simply about putting up Christmas decorations. It’s about creating an experience that families can enjoy together.
What’s Christmas without Santa Claus? His special appearance during the Christmas centerpiece lighting ceremony added that familiar holiday magic that makes the season extra special.
The celebration became even more enchanting with the musical woodland fairies, whose whimsical woodland-inspired look perfectly complemented the Holiday Twinklewoods theme. Their presence and music added a lovely touch to the festivities as SM City Marikina welcomed the Christmas season.
And of course, there’s more to enjoy! The event also featured other entertaining performances that kept the festive vibes going.
