MASFLEX Celebrates Their 25th Anniversary

Masflex, one of the leading brands in the houseware, cookware and kitchenware industry just celebrated its 25th year here in the Philippines. CONGRATULATIONS Masflex!

Masflex

Wow! 25 years of creating high quality, affordable and easy to use Masflex products that Filipinos can use practically in their home. Amazing!

Most of the Filipinos love to cook. I can proudly say that I’m one of them. I have no formal culinary training. I just love to cook and experiment, but of course my kitchen utensils and cookwares are very limited. I’m just being resourceful most of the time. But now seeing this brand made me decide that I should at least start to acquire if not all, at least some of the Masflex products that I will always use. 🙂 Too bad, I did not win the grand raffle during the event hahahaha! but it’s ok. 🙂

Masflex 25th Anniversary

Going back. Just in time for this celebration. Masflex also introduced their very first brand ambassador, Nancy Reyes-Lumen or popularly known as the “Adobo Queen” of the Philippines. Not only is Ms. Nancy a home-maker, she is also a grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, multi-media personality, singer, band member, home cook, restaurateur, commissary operator, food writer, editor, food stylist, food show host, lecturer, Filipino food advocate, healthy food advocate, food researcher and a true blue cook.

Here are some of the dishes that Nancy cooked during the Masflex 25th Anniversary using Masflex cookwares.

With culinary passion running in her blood(she also comes from the Reyes clan who is the owner of Aristocrat Restaurant) and a loyal user of Masflex too, Nancy is just perfect and fit as the brand’s ambassador.

Know more about MASFLEX

The MASFLEX brand was first introduced in the Philippines in 1989 as a cookware brand.  Back in the 1980s there were limited options for Filipinos for cookware, houseware, and kitchenware products.  Either they were forced to buy very expensive global brands which majority couldn’t afford; or the other option was to deal with the lower-quality locally-made recycled scrap material cookware that posed a health risk.

Due to these extremes in the market, there was a need for a range of affordable products that still had a standard of quality that would meet the needs of the Filipino homemaker during those times.

The MASFLEX name was derived with the goal of finding market solutions to these problems.  This is why it’s called MASFLEX.  MAS was for the Mass Market segment that they were trying to reach out to and help, given the consumers were faced with difficulties in this product category.  FLEX was derived from the word Flexible which was what the brand was trying to achieve; flexibility in terms of providing innovative solutions that were both affordable and of good quality for the Philippine market.

Not only does the brand cater to the needs of the market, but it also brings forth new and innovative technological solutions in the cookware industry.

All of these for the love of cooking.
