Earth Hour 2015 To Support WWF’s Gift of Light project

Earth Hour 2015

Over the past years, accumulation of greenhouse gases( large amounts of carbon dioxide) emitted by industrial factories and some agricultural areas and many more has grown in large volume which causes warming of global temperature. As temperature rises, it significantly cause changes in weather and climate such as intense rain resulting in more floods, droughts and even more frequent and severe heat waves.

It is us to blame for these catastrophic changes happening worldwide, but we can do something about it.  If we act now, We can save our generation and the future generation from experiencing the devastating wrath of mother nature.

WWF Philippines

This is the very reason why Worldwide Fund For Nature organized Earth Hour worldwide to create awareness  on the need for decisive climate change solutions by doing a simple action of turning off lights for 60 minutes.

Earth Hour began in Sydney, Australia in 2007 as a symbolic event that galvanizes people to take a stand against climate change. The movement has grown to the world’s largest open-sourced environmental campaign mobilising hundreds of millions of people in more than 7000 cities and 163 countries.

Philippines is in continuous support of this endeavor and has been participating together with other countries evey year. Earth Hour 2015 is about getting the crowd to use #YourPower to change climate change.
