SM Group receives 12 Stevie Awards at the 2026 International Business Awards for reporting, sustainability, and community initiatives.

The SM Group has earned another round of international recognition after receiving 12 Stevie Awards at the 2026 International Business Awards, honoring its work in corporate reporting, sustainability, and community programs.

The awards recognize initiatives from SM Investments Corporation, the parent company of the SM Group, and SM Supermalls, highlighting efforts that range from transparent business reporting to environmental, cultural, and community initiatives.

SM Investments Earns Four Stevie Awards

SM Investments Corporation received four awards, including two Gold Stevie Awards for its 2025 Integrated Report.

The report was recognized in the Conglomerates (Large) and Best Annual Report (Publicly Held Corporations)categories.

The company also received a Bronze Stevie Award for Best Sustainability Report for its 2025 Sustainability Report. Meanwhile, the SM Sustainability School received Bronze under Sustainability Initiative of the Year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

For Frederic C. DyBuncio, President and Chief Executive Officer of SM Investments, clear reporting plays an important role in helping stakeholders understand the company’s direction and long-term plans.

“Clear reporting gives investors and other stakeholders a better view of how we make decisions, manage the business and plan for the long term,” said Frederic C. DyBuncio, President and Chief Executive Officer of SM Investments. “The other awards show how that same sense of responsibility is carried through by our businesses in the communities they serve.”

SM Supermalls Recognized for Community Programs

SM Supermalls accounted for the remaining eight Stevie Awards, with recognition covering customer experiences, environmental initiatives, diversity and inclusion, literacy, arts, and community engagement.

The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition won Gold for Brand Experience of the Year (Consumer), while the Find Your SM campaign received Silver in the same category.

The SM Green Movement also received Silver for Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility, while the SM Cares Coastal Cleanup initiative earned Silver for Achievement in Environment.

Another Silver award went to SM Cares: A Mall for All for Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion, recognizing efforts to make mall spaces more accessible and welcoming.

SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan said these programs show how everyday experiences inside malls can create a meaningful impact on local communities.

“People experience a mall through the things they do there, not through what we say about it,” said SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan. “A place to read, an event that brings local art to more people, or a program that makes the mall easier to use can make a practical difference to a community.”

Supporting Reading, Arts, and Local Communities

The SM Cares Book Nook received Bronze for Most Innovative Creative Project. The program creates spaces inside malls where people can read and share books.

The Empowering Communities campaign was also recognized under Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, SM Mindanao Art earned Bronze in the Corporate and Community (Community Engagement Event)category. The initiative provides Mindanaoan artists and their work with a wider public platform.

Together, the awards highlight the range of programs being implemented across the SM Group, from strengthening corporate transparency and sustainability efforts to supporting arts, literacy, environmental action, and inclusive communities.

SM Group’s 12 Stevie Awards Highlight Business and Community Impact

More than 300 business professionals participated in two months of judging for the 2026 International Business Awards. Winners were determined based on their average scores.

Now in its 23rd year, the International Business Awards recognize organizations, executives, entrepreneurs, and teams from around the world.

For the SM Group, its 12 Stevie Awards reflect a broader commitment to responsible business practices and community engagement, showing how corporate initiatives can create value not only for businesses but also for the communities they serve.
