The ZenFone Zoom Challenge At Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar
Just recently, ASUS Philippines sent me a unit of ASUS ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML) for me to try and test for their latest blogger’s activity… The ZenFone Zoom Challenge. I was really excited to be chosen as one of the bloggers to test this kickass phone. ASUS Philippines brought us to a place where we made use the amazing features of ZenFone Zoom. Wanna know where? will let you know as you read on. 🙂
But first, let’s look what’s inside the box… I did a quick unboxing video just to give you a rundown.
Now that you have watched my quick unboxing video of the ZenFone Zoom, the next thing that I will share with you is the ZenFone Zoom looks.
If you can see, the front look of the ASUS ZenFone Zoom is just like other ZenFone units such as ZenFone laser and ZenFone Selfie. Well, I don’t know why ASUS is maintaining the look but maybe they just want uniformity or a standard look for all their ZenFone Smartphones.
I like the back casing leather finish of this phone. It really gave the phone a very elegant and sophisticated look.
Here’s a close-up look of the back of the ZenFone Zoom.
Now let’s take a look more further on this ZenFone Zoom unit. (Please click the photo to enlarge)
The ZenFone Zoom has its own buttons for camera and video located on the right lower part. It’s a good thing that ZenFone Zoom has these button. Once your camera is on, you just press either the camera if you are going to take pictures or the video button to take videos. There’s no need to swipe-switch from the screen.
Here’s the Power and Volume up/down buttons. I’ve been using ASUS ZenFone Selfie for quite some time now and I’m used to pressing the power button on the top part of the phone. Whenever I use the Zenfone Zoom, I get confused most of the times trying to lock it from the top hahahaha!
The volume up/down button also serve as the zoom in and zoom out when you’re using the camera.
Will you look at that? ASUS ZenFone Zoom is known as the world’s thinnest 3x optical zoom smartphone. It is thin that you can easily slide it to your pocket and would not look very bulky at all. I also love my grip on this phone. A perfect fit to my hand.
WHAT’s UNDER THE HOOD?
Look at that! So neat. ASUS ZenFone Zoom has 3,000mAh non-removable lithium-polymer battery, only one micro SIM card slot and a memory card slot that can support up to 64Gb.
Since the zoom has 128gb ROM, I did not bother anymore to get a memory card for extra storage. I’ve took more than a hundred photos and took plenty of videos in high quality, but I still have a lot memory left.
Ok. I mentioned earlier that ASUS Philippines brought us to a picturesque location. The location remained a secret to some who were not able to figure out the puzzle.
Now on board… off to somewhere nice today. So excited! #SeeTheWorldUpClose #SeeThePhilippinesUpClose #OpticalZoom #ZenfoneZoom #ASUSphilippines #ASUSph #Smartphone #Travel #Travelgram #TravellingKitty #traveler #SummerGetaway #LifestyleBlog #GirlandBoyThingPh

But I figured it out… LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR.
The place was really amazing. Just perfect to take the ZenFone Zoom to test. So, for the ZenFone Zoom Challenge, we were task to do the following:
First, The Video challenge. The video should be taken by th ASUS ZenFone Zoom and to be uploaded on FB or IG announcing the ZenFone Zoom Challenge.
And now for the 2nd and the most exciting part of the challenge, The ZenFone Zoom Photo Challenge. In this challenge, we were tasked to take photos under different categories.
A. BEST ARCHITECHTURE SHOT(bridges, buildings, structures, statues, interiors, elements of designs, patterns etc.)Please Click the photo to enlarge. Camera Settings: Auto Mode. NO FILTER. With broad daylight, ZenFone Zoom can really take very nice quality photos with its 13MP rear camera.
Look at the details. I used the 3x Optical zoom capability of the ZenFone Zoom when I took this photo. I’m super love this phone already. Zoomed, but the quality of the photo did not change. Wow!
I also took a video to show the 3x optical zoom feature of the ZenFone Zoom.
B. BEST NATURAL/WILDLIFE SHOT: (Flowers, Plants, Animals, wildlife, etc.)
C. BEST LANDSCAPE CITYSCAPE SHOT(Beach, Outdoor, Sunset, Urban Setting etc.). Please click photo to enlarge.
Low Light mode
Took another optical zoom shot up to 3x zoom. You can see how far I was(Top photo) and after shot(bottom photo). See how clear the photo still? 🙂
D. BEST MOVING SHOT (Any moving object shot by ASUS ZenFone Zoom)
No more blurry photos. With ZenFone Zoom’s 0.03 Laser Auto Focus Feature, you will never miss a good moment even if your subject is moving. 🙂
So that’s the end of the ZenFone Zoom Challenge. Much as I wanted to post more photos,I can’t. I don’t want to flood you with my photos in a single blog post. Will post it on my blog’s Instagram account instead. www.Instagram.com/Girlandboythingph
Hope you could follow me there for more photos for the ZenFone Zoom Challenge and other pphotos using the ZenFone Zoom. Don’t worry I do follow back 🙂
Anywhere you look in Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar is very instgrammable, I can’t help myself. Took this obligatory shot using my ZenFone Zoom. You can also consider this as one of my photo entries for the ZenFone Zoom Challenge. Hehe. 🙂
SPOTTED! Alvin Estacio of ASUS Philippines capturing the the beauty of the place with his ZenFone Zoom.
Thank you so much ASUS Philippines for inviting me to this short but fun summer getaway. Fo making me #SeeThePhilippinesUpClose using the ZenFoneZoom via the ZenFone Zoom Challenge. It was really a wonderful experience. Till next time!
Selfie selfie inside the bus before going home. 🙁 Gonna miss this place. (Taken using Zenfone Zoom 5MP front camera)
For a blogger like me who loves taking photos and travelling, having this kind of smartphone with zoom capability is really a big help in capturing good photos and capturing great moments. Glad to have found this smartphone.
