From Barren Land to Relaxing Lush: Mangala Resort & Spa

Who would have thought that this relaxing lush where Mangala Resort & Spa is located, was once a bare and lifeless barren land.

Me and my group were able to experience a quick tour to this beautiful place located at Kuantan Pahang Darul Makmur, Malaysia. Our last stop before heading home.

Upon entering Mangala Resort & Spa you can already feel the calm and relaxing ambiance. The place was really amazing. Everywhere you look, the view is very good for photo as a subject and as background. Definitely Instagrammable.

I mentioned earlier that this land area was once a barren land when the owner of the place first bought it. At first, the owner had some few parts developed for his family and closest friends’ use for vacation and relaxation purposes. Few years after, it turned out to be a full-blown resort and spa establishment providing total relaxation, accommodation, and events venue for special occassions.

Using a golf cart as our service ride, we drived and toured around some of Mangala Resort & Spa’s facilities and amenities. First off, we were showed some of their villas, cottages, and suites.

Wow! Mangala Resort & Spa has amazing accommodations. It’s like you don’t want to go out of your room anymore.

We then headed to this lake where guests can do water activities such as fishing, kayaking, etc. There is also a nearby archery area just in case you want to shoot some arrows.

Love horses? You can visit this stable and can interact with the horses. You may also try other activities like orchard farm harvest picking and cooking workshop with the Head Chef of Mangala.

Swimming outdoors is more fun especially with this kind of view… Too bad we did not stay long enough to this place.

Want some pampering? The resort also offers Spa services like massage, body scrub, facial, manicure/pedicure just to name a few at the Mangalan Spa. They also have spa packages for total relaxation.

Mangala Resort provides a perfect and peaceful setting for any celebration. There’s an enclosed air-condition ballroom that can accommodate up to 400 guests. There’s also a special outdoor area where wedding set up can be placed and arranged. Meeting rooms are also available for smaller events.

Our tour ended with a sumptuous lunch at the Mangalan Lakeside Restaurant where we had some of the resto’s specialties.

Mangala Reosrt & Spa is just about two hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. So if you are flying to Malaysia anytime soon and planning to stay in Mangala, Air Asia Philippines will have Manila-Kuala Lumpur flights 3x daily starting Oct 29, and Cebu -Kuala Lumpur flights 4x weekly starting Oct 30, 2016.
