A One Day Beach Getaway at Playa Laiya Beach Club

Beach is one of the most popular summer destination not just here in the Philippines but also abroad. In fact we have a lot of beautiful beaches here in the Philippines that international tourists and even us locals go to just to relax and free our mind from the stressful ambiance of work and city life.

I must admit, I am not a beach person. But whenever I go to one, I would enjoy myself by appreciating the beauty of nature that God has given us. The sound of the waves, the relaxing view, the water species and a whole lot more.

Playa Laiya And just recently, I went on a beach trip with my blogger friends in San Juan, Batangas which is just about 3 hours away from Metro Manila. Oh! I so need this vitamin sea right now! this trip was just very timely.

Playa Laiya Beach Club

Playa Laiya is a leisure-tourism estate developed by Landco Pacific Corporation and managed by Fuego Hotels & Properties Management Corporation. This luxurious Asian-themed beach club offers different amenities that you, your family and friends would surely enjoy such as infinity pool, kiddie pools with bubblers, an outdoor jacuzzi which faces a very nice view of the ocean and beach front.

Upon arriving we were welcomed by their very accommodating staff and were given Blue Lemonade as welcome drinks.

Each of us were also given this Playa Laiya Guest Pass to wear while inside the club’s vicinity. You might be wondering how much the entrance fee would cost you right? well here are the rates:

FOR PEAK SEASON: Adult- Php700/person during weekends – Php500/person during weekdays.

FOR LEAN SEASON: Adult- Php560/person during weekends – Php400/person during weekdays.

Note: For kids 3-10 yrs. old a discount of 50% off the adult rate will be given. Meaning, you would only pay half the price based on the adult’s entrance fee. For babies from 0-2 years old, entrance fee is FREE.

The entrance fee includes the use of Playa Laiya Beach Club’s facilities such as swimming pool and the beach.

  • Proper swimming attire is required(bathing suits, rash guards, board shorts and trunk.
  • Beach club’s facilities are on a first come, first served basis.
  • For guests with vehicles, there’s an available parking lot for you to use.
  • Pets are not allowed. (this is sad πŸ™ I always wanted to bring my fur babies to the beach)
  • Even if the Playa Laiya Beach Club is open until 6P.M only, the resort is under a 24-hour security.
  • Bring your own toiletries and towels. Towel rental is also available for a certain fee.

After some brief introduction about Playa Laiya Beach Club, we headed going to the beach front and settled in the cozy open-air cabanas. If you love dipping in the beach instead of the pool, this is the best cabana spot for you to avail. These cabanas can accommodate 6-10 persons. Rental fee: Php750.

There are also other cabanas and pavilions available for you. Here are the rates for your reference:

  • Big Cabana– Can accommodate 15-2o persons- Rental Fee: PHP2,700.
  • Pool Cabana– Can accommodate 6-10 persons- Rental Fee: PHP750.
  • Pool Pavilion– Can accommodate 20-30 persons- Rental Fee: PHP5,500
  • Marketing Pavilion– Can accommodate up to 100 persons- Rental Fee: Please contact Playa Laiya Beach Club for the rate of this pavilion.

If you don’t want to avail any of the above cabanas, you might want to rent out the club’s LOCKERS which you can use for the whole day. Here are the rates:

  • Small- PHP50.00
  • Big: PHP150.00

So we had our morning merienda, lunch and early dinner at Playa Laiya Beach club’s restaurant… The Sands. In fairness, the food that they are serving are really good. So if you are tired to cook your food for packed meals, you can dine in this food place.

By the way, bringing food inside the beach club is allowed. However, there’s a corkage fee of PHP100.oo/person.

Lifeguard now on duty! hahaha just kidding. Just posed as a lifeguard on this photo. But kidding aside, the beach club do really have a lifeguard that can help you in case of drowning or whenever an emergency situation arises while you are enjoying your swim.

To add more fun in your beach vacation, you might want to try Playa Laiya Beach Club‘s beach and water activitiesΒ  such as beach volleyball, jetski ride, parasailing, kayaking, banana boat ride, and flying fish.

Too bad, I had my period that day, I wasn’t able to join our group on riding the banana boat. So I just rode the speedboat instead and watched my other blogger friends enjoy the ride.

Well, i did enjoy it still… riding the speed boat while it pulls the banana boat. Hey there my speed boat buddy…. Ruth dela Cruz.

Our group also enjoyed the island hopping activity. We visited a certain island there called “Pampang Island” which is about 20-30 mins boat ride away from the beach club proper.

It was really gloomy that day and was raining from time to time. Thankfully, the waves were calm and we arrived safely to the island.

Since I can’t swim and snorkel due to my untimely period, I just took some photos and just enjoy the scenic view.

Playa Laiya Beach ClubSaw these amazing creatures while wondering the island’s shore. There are a lot of hermits crabs there. Don’t worry they are harmless. Just in case you will be visiting the island, please do not take them. Just leave them as they were.

You may inquire at Playa Laiya for the Island hopping rates/package.

After our island hopping, we headed back to the resort to clean-up and change. This is another thing that I like in Playa Laiya, they really do have huge, clean and cozy toilet and shower area. You can comfortably change there and you have a lot of space to move at.

Playa Laiya Beach Club is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 8:00a.m to 6:00p.m. Please be reminded that the beach club is CLOSED EVERY MONDAYS.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Playa Laiya Beach Club is not accepting walk-in guest(s), prior booking/reservation is required. You may settle your payment upon arrival at the beach club.

So, if you haveΒ  limited number of time for your vacation and are planning for a quick beach trip, then Playa Laiya Beach Club is a place you should consider. Hope that you will enjoy your visit there just like me.
